In this thread, post your favorite game, and tell us a little bit about why that's your favorite!

My favorite game is FFX (Final Fantasy 10). It has a very emotional storyline, impressive combat (surprisingly so for being turn-based), innovative leveling system, and great graphics (for it's time).

infamous. that game was awesome, and there aren't really any flaws in it. well, the enemies in earlier levels have really good aim, but it's a bit bitchy to complain about enemies shooting you.

i just love that game, and it's sequel is the first game i pre ordered and fully paid off.

FFX2 didn't really stack up to FFX, but hey, it was still a pretty good game, especially if you got the perfect ending

Well lets see....

All of the Ratchet & Clank games ( Except  for the PSP installment)- Up your Arsenal was a game I 100% for the first time, and for the whole series was a series I could not put down. Or something I would not get bored of very easy.
All of the Jak & Daxter Games ( Except for the PSP installment)-  ^^

FFXII- Wow well I really loved the Graphics in this game, the Story was action paced and A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. I also liked how it was very different than other FF's and still be able to be really good.

Gears of War 1&2-  The story was something I did not encountered for a good while, and was very awesome. The multi-player was brilliantly done for GoW 1 not so much 2 but updates and such fixed this I guess.

Halo- Marvelous story, that I played through with some of my brothers, always kept me entertained.  As for the Multi-Player, it was a hit and a miss for me.

dude, i LOVE R&C 3 so much, i must've played that game 20 times, and i would've played more but my disc scratched. i've played all of them at LEAST ten times each, and i was so excited for the next one, then i found out about all 4 one. all 4 one. expect a full rant on that later.

OBLIVION!!!!!!!
Why? Well it's a fully realised world, has a tonne of backstory. Has books that you can read in-game (i love reading, and some of them are acutally pretty good) the combat is a little iffy at times, but it gets the job done.
I love how it's colorful, while alot of games nowdays are tending toward the greys and browns. It's not a bad thing, but i need some LIFE DAMMIT sometimes.

I'm hoping for a better (much better) dialogue tree for the next in the series though. That is a fault that needs some work. And the fact that the chicks must not look like idiots would be nice.

My next fav is currently Fallout: New Vegas. The story is amazing. They bought some color into it and combat is....well the same as 3, but it was great so why change it. Haven't completed it yet, but i'm likin soo far.
